Time: 10:00 AM

Weather: Cloudy

Readings: Deuteronomy, chapters 20-24

Noteworthy Verse:

“When you make a vow to God, your God, don’t put off keeping it; God, your God, expects you to keep it and if you don’t you’re guilty.  But if you don’t make a vow in the first place, there’s no sin.  If you say you’re going to do something; do it.  Keep the vow you willingly vowed to God, your God.  Your promised it, so do it.”

Deuteronomy 23:21-23

Significance:

  • This verse highlights the importance of our word.  Many people, including myself at times, can be very flaky.  They say they’ll do one thing and then do something completely different.  It’s very important to stay true to your word; when it comes to God as well as everyone else you meet.

Feelings:
I’m about to head to a demo!  I hope to sell a lot of hummus today and I pray everyone who talks to me can sense the Holy Spirit.
