Time: 3:30 PM

Weather: Sunny and HOT!

Readings: Deuteronomy, chapters 30-34

Noteworthy Verse:

“This commandment that I’m commanding you today isn’t too much for you, it’s not out of your reach.  It’s not on a high mountain – you don’t have to get mountaineers to climb the peak and bring it down to your level and explain it before you can live it… The word is right here and now – as near as the tongue in your mouth, as near as the heart in your chest.  Just do it!”

Deuteronomy 30:11-14

Significance:

  • This verse reminds me of the Nike slogan… just do it!  I felt encouraged by this voice to ACT.  A lot of Christians, and people in general, just need to stop over-thinking things and making excuses… and just do it!  Stop putting yourself in situations where you’re tempted to sin.  Stop practicing self-sabotage and then acting sorry for yourself.  Just follow God’s commandments 🙂

Feelings:
Tonight I’m heading to PA to go camping for the first time.  I am SUPER excited.  Two days spending time in God’s creation, embracing His majesty through nature, and spending time with another believer?  Sounds fabulous to me.
