Readings: 2 Samuel, chapters 6-10
“So David said to Michal, ‘It was before the Lord, who chose me above your father and above all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel; therefore I will celebrate before the Lord.’ ”
2 Samuel 6:21
- In this verse David is responding to Michal’s criticism of his celebratory dancing. Earlier, David had been celebrating and dancing the Lord’s blessings given to Obededom for safe-keeping the ark of God.
- This verse shows that God likes when we express our emotion and he likes when we express them physically! There is nothing wrong with dancing when it is done to honor God and to thank Him for all His blessings 🙂
I’m feel like my faith has been renewed over the past couple of days… I pray that it continues to do so. Sometimes frustrating and hurtful experiences are given to us in order for us to re-focus our minds on God and to remind us of our purpose here on Earth.
I stretched for 30 minutes yesterday and prayed for 20!
