Time: 8:40 AM

Weather: Looks sunny 🙂

Readings: 2 Samuel, chapters 16-20

Noteworthy Verse:

“But the king said, ‘Why are you sons of Zeruiah always interfering and getting in the way?  If he’s cursing, it’s because God told him, ‘Curse David.’  So who dares raise questions?’ ”

2 Samuel 16:10

  • In this verse David is speaking to his company about a man who was cursing at them.
  • What an interesting way to think about someone insulting you!  In a sense it equalizes both good and bad experiences.  Good experiences may bring you joy and blessings,  but bad experiences can bring you growth and knowledge.  Sometimes even “bad” experiences are simply a lesson from God.

Feeling pretty good today!  I took the weekend off from my routines and focused on spending time with friends and family.  Today I’m feelings refreshed and ready to take on the week.
