Time: 8:46 AM

Weather: Looks sunny and bright 🙂

Readings: 2 Samuel, chapters 21-24

Noteworthy Verse:

“But the king said to Araunah, ‘No, I’ve got to buy it from you for a good price.  I’m not going to offer God, my God, sacrifices that are no sacrifice.’ ”

2 Samuel 24:24-25

Significance:

  • In this verse David is purchasing a threshing floor and ox so that he can build an altar and give a sacrifice to God.  He hopes this sacrifice will stop the epidemic that God has been putting Israel through.
  • This verse shows that God needs a sacrifice that is worthy in order to forgive our sins; which highlights how important Jesus is.  There is no way we would ever be able to continually give a sacrifice deserving enough for our forgiveness.  Jesus is the only one who can make that happen.

Feelings:
Today feels like Friday for me and I am pumped to have a couple of days off.  I need to re-organize my life 🙂

Stretched for 30 minutes yesterday and prayed for about 10.
