Time: 9:00 AM

Weather: Looks sunny

Readings: 1 Kings, chapters 1-5

Noteworthy Verse:

” ‘Here’s what I want: Give me a God-listening heart so I can lead your people well, discerning the difference between good and evil.  For who on their own is capable of leading your glorious people?’ ”

1 Kings 3:9

  • In this verse King Solomon, David’s son, is praying to God and asking Him for a God-listening heart.  God is delighted by King Solomon’s prayer and that King Solomon wanted wisdom more than riches and a long life.
  • This is what we should all pray for.  While most of us will never rule over God’s chosen people, we can choose to be filled with God’s spirit rather than spend our lives chasing after temporary wealth.

Prayed and stretched for 30 minutes yesterday!  I’m hoping I can make it to the pool today and continue to be productive.
