“Saul died in disobedience, disobedient to God. He didn’t obey God’s words. Instead of praying, he went to a witch to seek guidance. Because he didn’t go to God for help, God took his life and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.”
1 Chronicles 10:13-14
- A little while back the pastor at my church preached about the importance of finishing strong. He talked about how it’s easy to start off strong for Christ and then lose your passion near the end. Saul is a classic example of someone who completely lost it in the end. If only he had stayed obedient to God he could have died with more dignity and meaning… and left a stronger legacy for those left behind.
I volunteered at an adult special needs day camp today… it was an eye-opening experience. The people at the camp were so sweet and special… it really keeps your life and your “problems” in perspective. I imagine they helped me today as much as I helped them.
