Time: 8:04 PM

Weather: Unusually warm for late October

Readings: Job, chapters 1-5

Noteworthy Verse:

“He told her, ‘You’re an empty-headed fool.  We take the good days from God – why not also the bad days?’  Not once through all this did Job sin.  He said nothing against God.”

Job 2:10

  • In this verse, Job is talking to his wife after she told him to curse God.  Job had just had his wonderful life ripped away from him: his wealth, family, and health were all taken.  Yet, he still remained faithful to God.
  • What an inspiration Job is!  Many of us never experience half the problems Job did and yet we begin to question God.  Job poses an important question.  We are here to fulfill God’s purpose for us – including all the good times, bad times, and mediocre times He has planned for us.

Wow!  Things have been busy this week.  I’m excited for some new beginnings… and for things to slow down a bit 🙂
