Time: 8:30 AM

Weather: Looks windy!  And it’s getting cold

Readings: Job, chapters 16-20

Noteworthy Verse:

” ‘If you’re thinking, ‘ How can we get through to him, get him to see that his trouble is his own fault?’  Forget it.  Start worrying about yourselves.  Worry about your own sins and God’s coming judgement, for judgement is most certainly on the way.’ ”

Job 19:28-29

  • In this verse, Job is responding to his friends.  His friends have spent a significant amount of time trying to convince Job that his suffering is his own fault.  However, Job reminds them that they should be focusing more on themselves than on him.  It is an important reminder to us all.  We can often be judging the speck in our neighbor’s eye while we have a plank in our own.

I had a great time traveling this weekend.  And this morning I feel like I’m officially back into my routine… looking forward to making today productive 🙂
