Time: 9:06 AM

Weather: A little overcast

Readings: Jeremiah, chapters 10-13

Noteworthy Verse:

“It’s because our leaders are stupid.  They never asked God for counsel, and so nothing worked right.  The people are scattered all over.”

Jeremiah 10:21

Significance:

  • This message was originally directed toward the Israelites.  However, it applies to us all even today.
  • No matter how confident we are in our decisions and actions, it is vital for us to remember to seek God’s counsel first.

Feelings:
For all of my own life decisions I’ll be making in the near future, this verse serves as an excellent reminder to seek God’s direction before applying my own.

  1. I just read Jeremiah for the first time last week! I am so excited that I finally understand it! Praise the Lord! And yes, I am so quick to act when I should be asking for His direction first.
